On November 22, the President of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (RUEA), Vahagn Hambardzumyan, hosted Daniel Garrote Sanchez, a member of the Social Protection Engagement Scoping Mission delegation. The mission is taking place in Armenia on November 18-23, as a part of the Armenia Social Protection Administration II Project, implemented by the World Bank.
The goal of the meeting was to identify the progress of analytical and advisory measures aimed at improving employment services and policies that support the growth of Armenia's labor market.
The actions envisioned in the Republic of Armenia's Employment Strategy draft for 2024–2030, initiatives to strengthen the link between employers, labor markets, and educational institutions, and other matters pertaining to enhancing the efficacy of state employment policy were all discussed during the meeting.
Vahagn Hambardzumyan presented the successful model of collaboration between the Association of Accountants of Armenia, which is a member of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia, and the College of Finance and Economics of the Armenian State University of Economics. Both the structure and the content of this model acknowledge the efficacy of a close-working relationship with employers in order to meet labor market demands and organize high-quality education in VET institutions.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue constructive discussions in order to utilize the Union’s capacity, curent successful experience and opportunities in the process of comprehensive and efficient implementation of employment policy.

30-04-2021On 30 April 2021, three RUEA representatives attended a meeting on the progress of the “Resource Saving and Clean Production” (RSCP) component of the “EU for the Environment” program. The main purpose of the meeting was to demonstrate the possible application of RSCP practices based on food / agriculture, construction materials and chemical industry, as well as to receive suggestions on partnership opportunities with other interested organizations.
