Meeting with representatives of the Council of Europe office
On July 31, 2024, Vahagn Hambardzumyan, President of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (RUEA), hosted a delegation from the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan. The delegation included Program Manager Emma Mkrtchyan, International Expert Monika Smush-Kulesha, National Expert Sergey Ghazinyan, and Program Specialist Lilit Sirekanyan.
The meeting focused on discussing the anticipated outcomes of the "Strengthening Human Social Rights in Armenia" project, which aims to enhance the protection of social and economic rights in Armenia in line with international standards.
Union Deputy Presidents Avetis Avetisyan and Maria Khakhamyan, Executive Director Lilit Adamyan, and Union Board Member Mihran Tadevosyan also participated in the meeting.
During the discussion, the RUEA team highlighted the current needs of vulnerable groups concerning social and economic rights. They presented steps necessary for strengthening and promoting these rights, ensuring reliable protection, and aligning with European standards.
Vahagn Hambardzumyan proposed several initiatives to enhance the protection of social rights and expressed his willingness to support the development and implementation of the policy and legislative framework planned within the program.
The guests thanked the hosts for the productive discussion and for addressing pressing issues, which will be included in the project's final report and will inform the development of future project actions.

30-04-2021On 30 April 2021, three RUEA representatives attended a meeting on the progress of the “Resource Saving and Clean Production” (RSCP) component of the “EU for the Environment” program. The main purpose of the meeting was to demonstrate the possible application of RSCP practices based on food / agriculture, construction materials and chemical industry, as well as to receive suggestions on partnership opportunities with other interested organizations.
